Florence has its own airport and is closest to Montalcino. However, Pisa Airport often offers more European flights and carriers, making it a more cost-effective option.

 

From Rome, trains run frequently from Roma Termini to Siena Central Train Station.

A bus ride to Montalcino follows from Siena. We would recommend hiring a car from Siena if catching the train.
